Tamara Melo Duarte was born in Toronto, Canada, and is widely recognized for her recurring roles in the hit television series Wynonna Earp, Degrassi: The Next Generation, and Longmire, where she portrayed the characters of Rosita, Charlie, and Mandy respectively.
As a young individual, Tamara developed a passion for performing and producing by watching, starring, and working behind the scenes in Folklore plays at the Vitoria Setubal Community Club of Toronto. Her first appearance in front of the camera was at the tender age of 14, where she featured in several national commercials. This marked the beginning of her professional journey in film and television, which she pursued at the age of 18 while concurrently obtaining a Business-Marketing degree at Guelph Humber University.
Tamara has made a significant impact in the Indie world with her thought-provoking and gritty performances in upcoming films such as Bottom of The World, Badsvillle, and The F-Word, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival.
In addition to her acting career, Tamara has also ventured into producing, serving as the Associate Producer for her debut film "Verona", directed by Laurie Lynd. The short film gained recognition by running the festival circuit in the United States and winning the prestigious "Viewers Choice Award".
When Tamara is not busy working in film or television, she dedicates her time to practicing yoga. In January, she embarked on a life-changing journey to Cambodia, Thailand, and Vietnam, where she worked with underprivileged children through Krama Yoga. She also enjoys writing, learning the guitar, and singing in her free time.
