Tamela D'Amico is a multi-talented actress, writer, director, producer, and musician who has made a name for herself in the entertainment industry. Born and raised in the United States, D'Amico honed her skills in television, film, and theater, which has allowed her to develop her writing and directing skills as a storyteller.
D'Amico's most recent project is the Indian/American drama "One Little Finger," in which she stars as the lead and promotes the theme "Ability in Disability" by employing over 80 disabled actors. The film premiered at the Cannes Film Festival and is now available on Amazon and all streaming platforms.
In addition to her work in film, D'Amico has also gained traction in social media after recurring on the hit Disney+ show "Best Friends Whenever" as nemesis Janet Smythe, playing the younger counterpart to actress Nora Dunn. She can also be seen in the feature films "Walt Before Mickey" and "Rob the Mob," both of which are now streaming on Netflix.
As a musician, D'Amico launched her jazz career with her debut album "Got A Little Story," which was executive-produced by actor/producer Peter Krause and produced by 6-time Grammy Award winner Jimmy Hoyson. The album was released by LML Records/The Orchard (SONY) distribution and is available worldwide.
D'Amico has also been recognized for her work behind the camera, gaining recognition as one of the top 24 finalists on the FOX reality show "On the Lot," produced by Steven Spielberg and Mark Burnett. She has also produced and directed several web television series, including "Sex Ed: The Series," which garnered much TV press and accolades and boasts over 150 million views on YouTube.
D'Amico has continued to create content during the pandemic, writing, producing, directing, and acting in the Twilight Zone-esque short film "FEVER," which is now available on YouTube and touring film festivals. She has also been selected as one of the filmmakers to have a First Look in the Stars Collective with Starlight Entertainment.
