Tamera Darvette Mowry, a talented actress, was born on July 6, 1978, in Gelnhausen, Hesse, Germany, where her twin sister, Tia Mowry, was born two minutes later. Their parents, Darlene Mowry and Tim Mowry, were stationed in Germany at the time due to Tim's service in the U.S. Army. After their military service, the family relocated to California, where Tim later became a custody officer/jailer with the City of Glendale Police Department.
