Ellie Egerton's educational journey began at Ditcham Park School near Petersfield in Hampshire, where she unfortunately faced bullying. Despite this, she managed to excel academically, earning nine A-grade GCSEs upon finishing school at the age of 16. Not one to follow the conventional path, Egerton chose to pursue a career in acting instead of attending university.
Before diving headfirst into the world of acting, Egerton had a brief stint as a babysitter for three children. She has also shared a flat in Marylebone, Central London, with her St. Trinian's (2007) co-star, Talulah Riley, whom she affectionately describes as her "soulmate". At one point, Egerton resided in Hampstead with theatre producer Jamie Hendry.
Interestingly, Egerton has expressed admiration for Japanese film director Takeshi Kitano, citing him as her all-time favourite filmmaker.
