Under Tapaas' able leadership, DQ Entertainment has evolved into an integrated children's entertainment group, producing and distributing high-end 3D animated TV series, TV features, theatrical features, gaming, VFX, and hybrid productions with animation and live-action content. The company's intellectual properties, such as Jungle Book and Peter Pan, have been sold to over 169 countries for broadcasting, home video, licensing, merchandising, music, print publishing, games, and over-the-top broadcasting, establishing these brands as winners.
DQE has achieved numerous accolades under Tapaas' leadership, including becoming the first Indian company to win an EMMY Award and receiving 16 EMMY nominations. The company was also awarded the prestigious "International Studio of the Year" award at the 16th ceremony of Cartoons on the Bay, Italy, in 2012.
Tapaas is an active member of several national and international charitable organizations, including AGAPE, India, Figli Del Mondo, Italy, and is involved in extensive work for orphans, AIDS-affected children, and education for the deprived. He is also a member of the Board of the Indo-British Partnership and a member of the Young Presidents Organization.
Tapaas has received several awards and recognitions for his pioneering contributions to the entertainment industry, including the Entrepreneur of the Year award by HMA in 2005 and the prestigious 'Movers and Shakers' award in 2009 at the 6th Annual 24 FPS Animation Awards.
