Taya's impressive professional journey has seen her training in both Canada and the United States, equipping her with the skills to secure lead roles in notable projects such as The Becoming and Euphoria, where she played the character Lily.
Her extensive experience has been shaped by her collaborations with renowned filmmakers BJ Verot and Paula Kelly, allowing her to gain invaluable knowledge at a young age. As a talented voiceover artist, Taya has completed over 40 commercials for prominent brands like the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra, Children's Dental World, and the 20/20 Eyecare radio campaign.
Under the guidance of Todd Grodnick of Merrill Entertainment in Hollywood for five years and represented by Melanie Hawthorne Toogood of Premiere Talent Management in Vancouver, Taya has been diligently training since the age of six. She has participated in various workshops, including those with Michelle Danner and Amy Ruskin in Santa Monica, Disney and Mandalay Entertainment workshops with Adam Stone and Troy Daniel Smith, and has honed her skills in the Meisner technique with Jamie Rudofsky and Steve Braun.
Taya's daily drama and theatre classes at Dakota collegiate focus on dance, music, improvisation, and comedy, further refining her craft. In November 2017, she was hired to produce a Safety Skills voiceover training video for the Government of Manitoba, and she continues to represent the government in television commercials and voiceover work for the Safe School campaign and Provincial Steady Growth for Jobs program.
Taya's exceptional inner ear allows her to effortlessly mimic accents, as demonstrated by her role in Lost Little Lily, an animation voiceover with a British accent, cast by Alex Goulding of Great Britain. Additionally, she is a multi-sport student athlete, having played hockey, fastball, and track and field, and has represented the University of Manitoba Jr. Bisons and the Insanity Volleyball Club in the Libero position.
When she's not pursuing her acting career, Taya enjoys traveling, playing sports, listening to music, and laughing with her friends. She is excited to take on her next big role.
