Rocco Rock, born as Roderick George Toombs, was a deceased American professional wrestler, renowned for his impressive career spanning the 1980s and early 2000s. He initially gained recognition as the Cheetah Kid, before adopting the persona of Flyboy Rocco Rock, teaming up with Johnny Grunge (Mike Durham) as Public Enemy.
Before venturing into professional wrestling, Toombs had a brief stint in boxing, training under the renowned Wild Samoan, Afa Anoai. His wrestling journey commenced as Col. DeKlerk, representing the South African team at NWA Starrcade 90, where he faced the Steiner Brothers in the Pat O'Connor Memorial Tag Team Tournament.
In 1993, Toombs teamed up with Dean Malenko as the Komodo Dragons for a single show, before debuting as Public Enemy at ECW Ultra Clash 93, securing a win over Jason Knight and Ian Rotten (John Williams). The duo would go on to capture the NWA ECW Tag Team Titles on March 8, 1993, a feat they would repeat five times, setting a record that would last until the Dudley Boys broke it in 1999.
Public Enemy's impressive run continued, as they held the WCW World Tag Team Titles for eight days in September 1996, before returning to ECW in January 1999. Unfortunately, their stay was short-lived, as the Dudley Boys ran them out soon after. Toombs and Grunge continued to compete in ECW, WWE, and WCW, ultimately holding the NWA World Tag Team Titles for two days in 1999.
In 2001, Public Enemy joined Hulk Hogan and Jimmy Hart's XWF promotion, before Toombs' untimely passing on September 21, 2002, en route to a 3PW event, where he was scheduled to compete against Gary Wolf for the 3PW Heavyweight Title.
