Biography

Teiji Ōmiya, a Japanese actor of great repute, renowned voice actor, and esteemed member of the Tokyo Actor's Consumer's Cooperative Society at the time of his passing, came into this world on November 22, 1928.

He embarked upon his educational journey at Nihon University, although his academic pursuits were cut short as he withdrew from the institution prior to the completion of his degree.

Ōmiya's remarkable career in the world of anime has been marked by his memorable performances as kindly elderly characters in a multitude of series that debuted during the 1970s.

Ōmiya's life was tragically and prematurely brought to a close at the tender age of 66, due to a cruel and unforgiving fate, as he succumbed to the devastating consequences of colorectal cancer, a disease that ultimately proved to be his undoing, claiming his life on December 23, 1994.
