Teresa's life journey began in Aquadilla, Puerto Rico, where she spent her early years before relocating to Long Island, New York, Hampton, Virginia, and finally Henrietta, New York, due to her father's 20-year service as a Senior Master Sergeant in the US Air Force. This upbringingilled inst in her a strong sense of adaptability and resilience, traits that would later serve her well in her acting career.
As a young adult, Teresa relocated to Atlanta, Georgia, marking the beginning of her foray into the world of acting. She joined The SCLC People's Survival Theatre, one of Atlanta's pioneering African American theatre companies, where she honed her craft as a character actor in two soap-opera weekly series and several plays. This experience not only refined her acting skills but also provided her with a platform to express herself creatively.
Teresa's experience in front of a still camera dates back to her days as a Plus Model, where she showcased her striking features and confident demeanor. She also danced as a member of several cultural dance companies in Atlanta, further solidifying her connection to the city's vibrant arts scene.
Teresa has made a name for herself in the entertainment industry with her TV guest star role in "If Loving You is Wrong" on the Own Network, Tyler Perry's Studios, and Kirk Franklin's Grammy-winning song "I Smile" music video, as well as her appearances in shorts and regional commercials.
In addition to her acting pursuits, Teresa has also ventured into education, mentoring a Robotics teenage afterschool program where she taught digital filmmaking and produced a documentary showcasing the kids' experience with building a robot. This multifaceted individual has truly made a lasting impact in her community, both on and off the screen.
