Terrence Green, a seasoned dancer with a decade-long career, is now poised to transition to a new platform, showcasing his versatility as a performer. Many fans recognize him for his impressive dance moves and humorous skits on social media under the pseudonym RawSwagger, but few are aware of his humble beginnings.
Born and raised in York, Pennsylvania, Green's dance career began with little formal training. However, he quickly honed his craft by joining the dance group GroundKuntrol, which led to him being scouted by the Philadelphia-based super group Versatile Dance Company. With Versatile Dance Company, Green had the opportunity to perform alongside notable artists such as Fat Joe and 50 Cent, and even appeared on Showtime at the Apollo.
Seeking new challenges, Green relocated to Atlanta, where he surrounded himself with a diverse group of choreographers and dancers. In 2009, he was inducted as a member of the Swagger Crew on MTV's America's Best Dance Crew. Green went on to teach at various dance studios, including Gotta Dance, Dance411, IDA Hollywood, Millennium Dance Complex, and conducted workshops across the country, Africa, and Europe. He also performed with Blake Shelton and Kenny Loggins during the 45th Annual Country Music Awards, and hosted the Georgia Lottery's "All Access Music Tour."
In 2011, Green began his transition into the world of acting, showcasing his multifaceted career with little to no experience or assistance. He started booking roles in major movies and television shows, including "Footloose" and BET's "Let's Stay Together."
After gaining momentum as a world-renowned dancer and actor, Green moved to Los Angeles to pursue his passion full-time. He began doing stand-up comedy and quickly developed a significant social media following after acting in videos that acquired millions of views. In 2016, Green secured a guest star spot as "Calhoun Jeffries" on BET's Being Mary Jane opposite Gabrielle Union.
Terrence Green's journey serves as a testament to the importance of perseverance and continuous learning. He believes that the learning process never stops, and preparation is everything. With his newfound confidence, Green is ready for fans to see him as the entertainer he was born to be.
