Theresa Bell's illustrious career in the film industry spans over three decades, with her journey beginning in 1987 when she received her SAG card from the renowned director Oliver Stone on the set of Talk Radio, released in 1988.
Following her work with Stone on two additional films, Bell went on to secure speaking roles in over a dozen other film projects, solidifying her status as a talented actress.
In 1995, Bell made the transition to screenwriting, and her dedication to her craft was soon recognized in three prestigious competitions, with her screenplay Lullaby earning a spot in the top 30 out of 7,000 entries in the first Project Greenlight Contest.
In addition to her writing endeavors, Bell has been coaching actors since 2001, and her guidance has led to numerous successes for her students.
In 2005, Bell wrote, produced, and brought to life the short film Sweetwater, which starred Drew Waters, Patricia Campbell, Josh Duhon, and Shannon Hughes.
Four years later, Bell wrote and directed the short film Spark! for the 48 Hour Film Contest in Mississippi, which won the Best Cinematography Award at the 48 Hour Film Project ceremony in Jackson, MS, and was selected for screening at the Mississippi Sun and Sand Film Festival in 2012.
Most recently, Bell wrote, directed, and produced the short film Lullaby, based on her feature script, which stars Molly Beucher, Gregory Joseph Connors, and Carson White.
As of May 2015, Bell is currently in pre-production on another short film, Receptivity, which she will direct and star in, written by and featuring Jared Tredway.
