Thomas Goersch, a multitalented individual, grew up in Hofgeismar (Kassel),Waldkirch in Freiburg, and Stuttgart, Germany, surrounded by his two brothers. He began his career with a banking apprenticeship and later pursued studies in economics and banking law until 1999. That year, he made a significant career shift, venturing into the film industry as a screenwriter and actor.
Since 2000, Thomas has appeared in over 220 films, collaborating with renowned directors such as Carl Andersen, Maria Dora, Ulli Lommel, Malga Kubiak, and Alexander Tuschinski. His work has spanned multiple decades, with long-standing collaborations that have contributed to his impressive body of work. In 2013, he began directing, and in 2018, he intensified his work behind the camera, taking on documentaries and projects outside of Germany.
As an author, Thomas has written numerous film scripts and has also ventured into writing cooking books, starting in 2018. He is also well-known for his portrayal of the character "Herr Berger," which he first featured in the 2018 film "Herr Berger sucht einen Sohn."
Beyond his work in film and television, Thomas has established himself as a successful narrator for radio. He has voiced numerous documentaries, including L.B. Hyams' Memoir of a Cannibal, and has narrated the comedy series "Beauty Palais," which aired on 24 radio stations across four countries.
Thomas has also made a name for himself as a radio host and co-editor of a club magazine, which he managed from 2001 to 2008. Since 2006, he has been the managing director of the theater agency Kreativepool Germany. As a food expert, he has presented his long-running show "Goersch's Gourmet Buffet" on Shopping Canal 1-2-3.tv since 2013, sharing his knowledge of gastronomic delicacies and fine wines with a wide audience.
In 2021, Thomas's movie "Unhappy" won over 600 awards worldwide, solidifying his position as a talented director and actor. In 2022, he took a year-long break to re-evaluate his career, and he is now focusing on working with smaller teams. He has also started a collaboration with Dorian Valentino.
Currently, Thomas resides in Stuttgart, Germany, where he continues to pursue his passion for film, television, and food.
