Thomas Ngijol, a French humorist, actor, and filmmaker, was born on October 30, 1978, in Paris, France. He is the son of Gilbert Ngijol, a Cameroonian sociologist, and Crescence Ngijol, a nurse. Ngijol grew up in Maisons-Alfort, a suburb of Paris, and began his career in the entertainment industry as an animator at a primary school in Bonneuil-sur-Marne.
He later attended café-théâtre courses at the Théâtre de la Main d'Or in Paris, where he was noticed by Dieudonné. Ngijol's big break came when he performed at the Juste pour rire festival in Nantes, where he paid homage to Richard Pryor. He then played at the Moloko club in Paris and wrote a one-man show called "Bienvenue," which he performed in small Parisian venues.
