Person Biography:
Born in 2004, he pursued his passion for architecture and earned a bachelor's degree in the same field. Later, he furthered his education by obtaining a master's degree in creative documentary from Barcelona's Pompeu Fabra University in 2012.
In 2008, he became a partner at the production company TERRATREME, a milestone in his professional journey. His fascination with documentary filmmaking led him to participate in a workshop on the subject held by the Ateliers Varan in Lisbon in 2006, which was produced by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation.
Since then, he has been actively involved in the film industry, taking on various roles in different projects. In 2009, he worked as a trainee at the Ateliers Varan in Paris, gaining valuable experience and insights. Moreover, he has been teaching at the DOCNOMADS - European Documentary Master Course, sharing his knowledge and expertise with aspiring filmmakers.
Throughout his career, he has directed several films, including INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION, co-directed with Frederico Lobo, which premiered at the "Visions du Réel" festival in Nyon, Switzerland in 2014. Some of his notable films include GUIDED TOUR, THE GIFT FROM AFAR, "GROUND GLASS I, II", SHOW HOME, and QUINTA DA CURRALEIRA, which have received accolades at various film festivals, including the Primeiro Olhar Award at "Encontros de Cinema e Video de Viana do Castelo" for QUINTA DA CURRALEIRA.
