Jojo Tichakorn Phukhaotong, a multifaceted individual, excels in various creative fields, including television direction, screenwriting, and innovative party planning through his entrepreneurial venture, Trasher Bangkok.
Born in Surat Thani, Jojo's academic background in English from Silpakorn University's Faculty of Archaeology laid the foundation for his future endeavors.
In 2016, Jojo made his directorial debut with the first season of "Gay OK Bangkok," a series he also penned, marking the beginning of his journey in the film industry. Despite having no prior experience in filmmaking, Jojo's passion for direction drove him to pursue his dream.
Before venturing into television, Jojo started his career by creating Bangkok-set parody videos of popular songs, featuring the talented Jennie Panhan. These humorous productions showcased Jojo's creativity and laid the groundwork for his future projects.
As an openly gay individual, Jojo noticed a significant lack of representation of gay characters in Thai media, often being portrayed as sassy, tragic figures, or as cute schoolboy couples. Inspired by his own experiences and those of his community, Jojo aimed to address this representation gap through his debut series.
In 2021, after departing from Trasher Bangkok, Jojo founded a new production company, Hard Feeling Film, inspired by Lorde's song.
