Tom Komisar, a multifaceted creative, has been a lifelong enthusiast of the horror genre. His passion for filmmaking began with writing scripts for short films, which he would later produce with his friends using camcorders. This early start led to the development of his first feature-length screenplay, Night of the Dolls, which in turn spawned a partnership with director Daniel Murphy from HM&M Films.
Following the release of Night of the Dolls, Tom and Dan collaborated on several projects, including House of Whores Part 1 and 2 and Blood Moon River, where they shared writing, directing, and acting responsibilities. During this period, Tom also pursued his interest in acting, appearing in films such as The Hospital 2, Don't Fuck in the Woods 2, and Hell's Bells.
After watching the movie Dolly Deadly, Tom was inspired to return to his writing roots and embarked on a new chapter in his career. When he learned that Dolly Deadly director Heidi Moore was interested in creating a sequel, Tom seized the opportunity to become the screenwriter for the film, which would eventually become Kill Dolly Kill.
Early in the writing process, Tom and Heidi agreed that the movie required original songs to be performed by the actors. Leveraging his musical talents, Tom composed the soundtrack for Kill Dolly Kill. The project soon gained the attention of Lloyd Kaufman and Troma Entertainment, leading to a collaboration with Heidi's production company, Wretched Productions.
