Biography

Tom Martin has had a prolific career in independent film, television, and Off-Broadway and regional theater, taking on a diverse array of roles that showcase his impressive range as a thespian.

He has embodied a wide range of characters, from a cunning newspaper editor in the TV series Bull, to a concerned father in Law & Order: SVU, and even a high-stakes lawyer in the TV series Gotham.

Tom's filmography is equally impressive, with notable roles in Whatever It Takes, where he played an aggressive CEO, and 3-Iron, where he portrayed a sad sack father and husband who reaches his breaking point.

In addition to his work in film and television, Tom has also had a successful career in theater, performing in productions of plays by renowned playwrights such as Shakespeare, Chekhov, Miller, Williams, and Rabe.

Born and raised in Oakland, California, Tom is the youngest of four brothers and comes from Irish ancestry. He developed a passion for acting during his undergraduate studies at the University of California, Berkeley, where he majored in English.

After receiving his Master of Fine Arts degree from the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco, Tom moved to New York City, where he studied with renowned acting coach William Esper in his two-year Meisner acting program.

Tom currently resides in Brooklyn, New York, and has continued to hone his craft, taking on a wide range of roles in film, television, and theater.
