Tom Ryan's formative years were spent in the vibrant city of Jersey City, New Jersey, where his affinity for horror films began to take shape at a remarkably early age. This burgeoning fascination with the genre was further fueled by his creative endeavors, as he devoted himself to crafting his own backyard VHS productions, a slasher-comic series titled "Midnight" serving as a testament to his burgeoning artistic talents. In addition, Tom's passion for horror was augmented by his meticulous collection of every issue of Fangoria magazine, a publication that would undoubtedly provide him with a wealth of inspiration and knowledge.

As Tom continued to hone his skills, he pursued a degree in media arts for two years before making the bold decision to abandon his academic pursuits and dedicate himself to a full-time career.

Tom, a kindred spirit surrounded by a coterie of childhood acquaintances who, like him, were enamored with the darker aspects of life, collectively embarked upon a venture of creative expression, establishing an independent production entity known as "Theatre of Terror". This innovative enterprise was born out of a shared passion for crafting high-caliber, low-budget horror films that would captivate audiences worldwide.

Tom's extraordinary passion lies in the realm of music, a creative outlet that has been a significant aspect of his life since the tender age of seventeen. Throughout his teenage years, he actively pursued his musical aspirations, honing his skills as a lead singer and bass player, ultimately co-founding the esteemed band "Vlad the Inhaler".

The band's debut studio album, "The Human Infection", made its grand entrance into the music scene in April 2013, captivating the hearts of fans and critics alike. This remarkable achievement was swiftly followed by a series of electrifying live performances, including a memorable appearance at the esteemed Macabre Faire Film Festival in June 2013, and the thrilling Parafest in September 2013.

Fast-forward to the latter half of 2016, and "Vlad the Inhaler" released their sophomore album, "The Aftermath", a testament to their unwavering dedication to their craft and their continued evolution as a band.

Tom's cinematic endeavors continued to flourish following the success of "Day 9", as he embarked on his inaugural feature film, "FACES", commencing principal photography in late 2013 and concluding the project in August 2014.

The film's highly anticipated premiere took place on October 10th at the esteemed Landmark Loews theater in Jersey City, drawing an impressive audience of over 250 individuals.

Subsequently, "FACES" was accepted into the prestigious NY Horror Show/Macabre Faire film festival, where it garnered numerous accolades, including the coveted Audience Choice Best Feature award, as well as honors for Best Soundtrack and a Best Actor Award for Tom, who masterfully portrayed the lead character Frank Walker.

Since its festival circuit debut, "FACES" has secured distribution through Green Apple Entertainment, further solidifying Tom's reputation as a talented filmmaker and actor.

Tom has not only excelled in his roles as writer and director, but has also showcased his impressive range as an actor by appearing in a diverse array of independent projects.

One such project is Corrado Gadaleta's web series, "Dead Road", which demonstrates Tom's ability to adapt to a variety of mediums and formats.

He has also made appearances in several short films, including Theatre of Terror's "Day 9", which highlights his talent for bringing complex characters to life in a condensed narrative.

Tom's feature film credits include Weber Pictures' "Sheriff Tom vs the Zombies", a thrilling and action-packed ride that showcases his ability to command the screen.

In addition to his work in film, Tom has also appeared in several short films, including Mark Boutros' "The Collectors", which demonstrates his versatility as an actor.
