Tony Angellotti is a renowned entertainment public relations executive with a successful career spanning over three decades. He has implemented, supervised, and executed publicity campaigns for more than 200 motion pictures, numerous television projects, entertainment companies, and filmmakers.
As the founder and owner of The Angellotti Company (TAC),established in 1997, Angellotti has planned and executed publicity strategies for films, filmmakers, production companies, industry events, and notable Golden Globe and Oscar campaigns. TAC has received over 300 nominations, including Best Picture winners such as Dances with Wolves, Shakespeare in Love, The English Patient, A Beautiful Mind, Green Book, and Oppenheimer.
Angellotti has worked extensively with major studios, including Universal, where he has assisted with all awards campaigns since 2000, earning over 100 nominations. He has also managed Disney/Pixar's animation awards campaigns, including Oscar-winners such as Toy Story 4, Coco, Zootopia, Inside Out, Big Hero 6, Frozen, Brave, and many others.
TAC has represented numerous motion picture campaigns, including Blade Runner 2049, Zero Dark Thirty, Book Smart, and scores of others. Angellotti has also spearheaded Miramax Films' awards campaigns exclusively from 1991 to 2000, earning over 100 Oscar nominations.
Angellotti has worked with numerous foreign language films, including Angelina Jolie's First They Killed My Father, 2011 Globe-nominated Chinese The Flowers of War, and 2010 Italian entry La Prima Cosa Bella. He has also represented scores of additional foreign language films, including Artemesia (France),Lower City (Brazil),and Keys to the House.
In addition to film campaigns, Angellotti has represented dozens of documentaries, including We Steal Secrets from Alex Gibney, Catfish, and award-winning Superstar: The Life and Times of Andy Warhol. He has also represented numerous IMAX format films, including Dolphins, Caves, and Jim Cameron's Ghosts of the Abyss.
The Company has represented scores of "indie" release campaigns, including It's Kind of a Funny Story, Hot Fuzz, The Illusionist, Pride and Prejudice, and Shaun of the Dead. Angellotti has also represented production entities and creative talent, such as Alcon Entertainment, directors Steven Soderbergh, Brad Bird, and Kathryn Bigelow, and producers/production companies Pixar, Mark Boal, and Davis Entertainment, among many others.
Angellotti has held various executive positions, including vice president of worldwide marketing and public relations for Empire Entertainment and director of worldwide publicity and promotions at New World Entertainment. He is a member of AMPAS and has received the prestigious Les Mason Award from the ICG Publicists Guild for excellence in entertainment publicity.
