Tony's musical journey began in his childhood, where he was surrounded by the harmonious sounds of barbershop music. Under the guidance of his father, Papa Joe, Tony grew up singing barbershop harmony in choruses in Rochester, New York, and later in Polk County, Florida.
As a young boy, Tony was immersed in the world of barbershop harmony, performing with his dad's choruses, listening to his mother's quartet, and singing with his sister Chris in The De Rosa 4. He was also fascinated by his favorite quartets and would learn their songs, adding to his repertoire and perfecting his craft.
At the tender age of 12, Tony made his international debut as a tenor with the Cypress Chord Club, delivering a memorable rendition of "Where The Angels Live." Seven years later, after numerous appearances at international competitions with District Championship quartets, Tony captured his first gold medal at the 1992 championships with the quartet Keepsake, becoming the youngest medal winner at the time.
Tony's success continued to grow, and he repeated his gold medal win in 2000 as a baritone with the quartet Platinum. Currently, Tony is the lead singer of the 2007 gold-medalist quartet Max Q, a talented foursome known for their unique artistic style.
In addition to his quartet performances, Tony has also honed his directing skills, following in his father's footsteps by taking the Tampa Heralds of Harmony to the International competition an unprecedented nine years in a row. Throughout his career, Tony has consistently demonstrated his passion and dedication to the art of barbershop harmony, leaving a lasting impact on the world of music.
