Tony Klinger is a multifaceted individual with a wide range of accomplishments in the film industry.
Born in Hackney, London, Tony was a talented writer even in his teenage years, winning writing prizes and receiving a book publishing offer at 17, which he unfortunately turned down.
Tony entered the film industry straight from school, working in various technical grades, including projectionist, camera and sound assistant, gofer, runner, and unit manager. He worked on iconic shows such as "The Avengers" and made training films for the UK military.
Tony's rapid rise through the ranks led to him being spotted by his bosses, who gave him major responsibility before he was 21. He continued to make his own small films in more senior roles and was commissioned to write the feature film screenplay for the best-selling book "Just a Boy".
Tony has also written and produced several films, including "The Man Who Got Carter", "The Kids are Alright", and "Deep Purple Rises Over Japan". He has worked with a wide range of international stars, including Michael Caine, The Who, and Roger Moore.
In addition to his work in film, Tony has also had a successful career as a playwright, with his debut play "A Tired Heart & The Big C" being a critical and commercial success.
