Following their collaboration on the groundbreaking TV series "Space Battleship Yamato" from 1974 to 1975, this visionary artist made their film debut in the theatrical adaptation of the series in 1977.
Their first foray into long-form filmmaking was nothing short of triumphant: "Vampire Hunter D" (1985),a pioneering work in the burgeoning video animation market.
