George Travis Milne, a talented actor, is best known for his captivating portrayal of Chris Diaz on the popular television series Rookie Blue. Born on July 18th, 1986, in Fort McMurray, Alberta, he is the son of George Milne, an electrician, and Patricia Flatla, a college professor.
As a young boy, Travis moved to Lac La Biche, Alberta, with his mother and stepfather at the age of 12. He quickly became involved in various extracurricular activities during his high school years, including football, basketball, track and field, cross-country running, and the theatre program. His passion for the arts was nurtured by the arts program director, Joanne Metchooyeah, who encouraged him to apply to theatre school. After being accepted into the RDC Theatre and Film program, Travis underwent three years of rigorous training, eventually securing his first agent.
Travis continued to work as a part-time actor and full-time carpenter for three years, navigating the challenges of the entertainment industry. In 2008, he landed his first supporting lead role as a lawyer named Eric Baldwin in the edgy TV movie Confessions of a Go-Go Girl. The following year, he appeared in Reginald Harkema's film Manson My Name is Evil, which premiered at the 2009 Toronto Film Festival.
In the same summer of 2009, Travis secured the role of a lifetime, starring in the hit television series Rookie Blue. The show premiered simultaneously in Canada and the United States in the summer of 2010 and has since produced 74 episodes. When he's not acting, Travis enjoys all aspects of home improvements, architecture, and design. In his free time, you can often find him at a hardware store, where he is currently working towards obtaining his real estate license.
