Tricia Cruz, a multifaceted individual, has made a name for herself in the entertainment industry as an actress, TV host, and entertainment correspondent. Her career spans over a decade, with notable achievements including a three-year stint in the stage production of "Frida-Stroke of Passion".
Starting her journey at "LATV Live", a groundbreaking Los Angeles-based music show featuring Latino music videos, Tricia worked as a VJ/Host. This was a prime-time English show in the L.A. market, making her a familiar face and voice coast-to-coast. Her experience at "LATV" was followed by a role as the West Coast Correspondent for ABC's Urban Latino, a national informational variety show that showcased the unique lifestyle and diversity of young American Latinos.
As an actress, Tricia has had the opportunity to work on stage in critically acclaimed productions such as "Latinologues" at the Coronet Theatre in Los Angeles, which is now available on DVD. She has also had the chance to interview numerous celebrities, including some of Hollywood's biggest stars, as a correspondent for "Urban Latino".
Tricia's film credits include "Lola's Love Shack", a coming-of-age comedy film that received praise from Will Ferrell, "Free Enterprise" with Eric McCormack and William Shatner, "Blasphemy" starring Carlos Leon, and "A Letter to Rachel", where she played the title role. She has also done voice-over work for the film "Flightplan" starring Jodie Foster.
In television, Tricia has had co-starring roles in shows such as "Criminal Minds", "ER", "90210", and "Lizzie McGuire". She has also appeared in several short films, including "God Squad" and "Killer Snake", which she produced and co-starred in. Born in Covina, California, Tricia is the youngest of three siblings from a single-parent family. Her mother, Maria, fled her native Mexico to provide a better life for her children. Tricia's upbringing in America, combined with her rich Mexican heritage, has enabled her to identify with both cultures and has positioned her as a host and actress of the new millennium.
Tricia received an Associate's Art Degree in Theatre Arts from Santa Monica College and studied acting with Aaron Speiser.
