Concurrently, his lifelong passion for theater and movement propelled him to New York, where he honed his skills at the prestigious Joffrey School of Ballet, Broadway Dance Center, and Steps. His unwavering dedication and rigorous training paved the way for a prolific career in dancing and acting on Broadway, television, and film, a tenure that continues to this day.
Notable credits include appearances in Night Court, Palm Royale, Palm Springs, The Good Place, VEEP, RENT, Rango, Pirates of the Caribbean, The Muppet Movie, Deadwood, Disjointed, Bless This Mess, and Forrest Gump.
As a natural progression, Troy's expertise expanded to choreography and creative direction, with a vast portfolio spanning theater, television, social media, and film. He has created hundreds of theatrical productions, television shows, commercials, music videos, films, social media campaigns, and corporate events for an impressive array of clients, including Usher, Ellen, Lily Allen, N.E.R.D., John Fogerty, Dolly Parton, Culinary Escapes, Universal Studios, Elvira, Princess Cruises, Paramount Theme Parks, Disney, Jimmy Kimmel, BLUEPRINTnyc, Harley Davidson, and co-creator of The Industry Dance Awards.
In 2007, Troy received the esteemed Choreography Media Honors Award at the Directors Guild of America for his work on the feature film Adam & Steve (Craig Chester, Parker Posey, Malcom Getz, Chris Kattan).
Troy's artistic evolution continued as he began studying the art and science of filmmaking in 1999. With a deep understanding of composition, choreography, timing, music, cameras, technology, and editing, his transition to film director and editor was seamless.
