Tina, also known as Twinkle, is a rare individual born on the same day as her father, Jatin alias Rajesh Khanna, on December 29, 1973. Her father, a renowned Bollywood star, was born in 1942, making their shared birthday a unique occurrence.
Twinkle is the daughter of Dimple Kapadia, a well-known Bollywood actress, and has a sister, Rinke, who is married to Industrialist Sameer Saran and has a daughter. Their aunt is Simple Kapadia, a Bollywood actress and costume designer. However, Twinkle's parents are no longer married to each other.
Twinkle made her acting debut in the 1995 film Barsaat, opposite Bobby Deol, at the age of 21. The movie received an average box office rating, but it catapulted both actors to a fair level of popularity. She went on to star in a total of 15 movies, including one in Telugu, Seenu, opposite Venkatesh. Her acting credits include working with prominent actors such as Salman Khan, Govinda, Shahrukh Khan, and Aamir Khan. She received the Best Debut award for her performance in Barsaat.
Twinkle was previously engaged to Rajiv Bhatia, alias Akshaye Kumar, but the engagement was broken. However, they re-engaged and eventually got married on January 14, 2001.
After her marriage, Twinkle quit acting and gave birth to a baby boy, Araav, on September 15, 2002. She then partnered with Gurlein Manchanda to open an interior design store, White Window, in Bombay's Crawford Market. The store received the El Decor Award, and Twinkle is currently in the process of opening another store in Bombay.
