Tyler Hilton is a multifaceted individual who has made a name for himself in both the music and acting industries. His professional music career began in 2000, and he released his first major-label album, The Tracks of Tyler Hilton, in 2004.
In addition to his music, Hilton made his acting debut in 2004 as Chris Keller on the hit CW series ONE TREE HILL. He has since appeared in a variety of television shows and films, including a series regular role on the upcoming CMT scripted pilot HIS WIVES & DAUGHTERS, recurring roles on PITCH and SINGLE LADIES, and guest appearances on CASTLE and EXTANT.
Hilton's film credits include his role as Elvis Presley in the Golden Globe Award-winning Best Motion Picture WALK THE LINE, as well as a memorable role in the MGM feature film CHARLIE BARTLETT opposite Robert Downey, Jr. and Anton.
As a musician, Hilton has toured extensively around the world and has released three albums: The Tracks of Tyler Hilton, Forget the Storm, and Indian Summer. His debut album reached #12 on the US Heatseekers Albums Chart, and his second album reached #2 on the same chart. Hilton was named one of People Magazine's "50 Most Beautiful People" in 2005 and appeared in Taylor Swift's hit video "Teardrops on My Guitar" in 2006.
Tyler Hilton was born to an electrical contractor and a teacher, and he grew up in a musical family in the California desert. He began playing guitar and singing at a young age and was heavily influenced by musicians such as Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, Robert Johnson, and Muddy Waters. Before moving to Los Angeles to pursue music and acting, Hilton spent several years performing at open mic nights and clubs, and playing blues and jazz covers for tips in coffeehouses and restaurants.
