Tyler Layton, a native of Vestavia Hills, Alabama, a charming suburb of Birmingham, was born and raised in this picturesque setting. Her father, a well-known radio sports personality in Birmingham, played a significant role in her early life. Tyler's high school years were marked by her exceptional talent in theatrical and musical productions, as she consistently won the lead role in most school performances. Her impressive achievements did not go unnoticed, as she was crowned Homecoming Queen in 1986.
After completing high school, Tyler attended the University of Alabama from 1986 to 1991, where she majored in theatre and drama. Her time at the university was filled with numerous productions, solidifying her passion for the performing arts. Tyler's academic excellence and outstanding performances earned her the esteemed title of Homecoming Queen at the University in 1989.
Following her undergraduate studies, Tyler relocated to Chicago from 1991 to 1992, where she spent her days auditioning for stage roles and her nights working at Murphy's Bleachers, a popular bar located next to Wrigley Field. This experience not only honed her skills but also provided her with a unique perspective on the entertainment industry.
In 1992, Tyler made the move to the Los Angeles area to pursue her graduate studies in theatre and drama. This marked the beginning of a new chapter in her life, filled with opportunities and challenges that would help shape her future as a talented performer.
