Ori Hockman is the son of Rachel Hockman. He served in the Nahal Brigade alongside Sharon Haziz, Dana Berger, Tomer Sharon, Yair Ziffer, Momi Levy, and Oren Shabtai. He is a graduate of the Nissan Nativ Acting Studio and the Rimmon School. In 1999, he won the Rosenblum Prize for Performing Arts.
He is married to Michal Politzer. He has two children from previous relationships: Anna, the daughter of Ayelet Ben-Zur, and Luca, the son of Aliza Krayz. He was previously in a long-term and well-publicized relationship with Marina Shayovitz.
On stage, he has played in productions such as "Maurice Shimel", "Aling", "Anna Karenina", "Post Trauma", "Dinner with an Idiot", "August", "The Merchant of Venice", "Longing for Kissing", "Pepper and Paprika" and more. In addition to his acting career, Hockman has also directed productions such as "The Frogs", "Shit", "Clerks", "The Zone", "Until the End of Space", "Smolarczik" (a solo performance by Ami Smolarczik),and "Work Interview", which won the first prize at the 2006 Tel Aviv Fringe Festival. He also directed "Sabers" (starring Shir Gadian and Tomer Sharon),which won first prize at the 2006 Haifa Children's Theater Festival.
On film, he has played roles such as Saul in "The Temptation", a fireworks vendor in "Dreams", and Sasha in "Cut Off". He played the role of Itzik in the 2013 film "The Youth", directed by Tom Shoval.
On television, he has played roles such as Haim Labov in "Birds", David Gushtan in "New York", Kobi in "To Catch the Sky", Chico in "Closed File", Ashd Moked in "Smoke and Mirrors", and the painter Liv Fox in the series "Schitzel".
Hockman has also dubbed characters such as Tabaki in "The Jungle Book", Carlos the Dwarf in "The Flying Turtle", Billy Cranston in "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers", and Michelangelo in "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles". He has also voiced the soldier doll in "Toy Story", Nuka in "The Lion King 2", Cooper the Dog in "The Fox and the Hound", and the adult Hercules in the Disney film "Hercules".
