As a young individual, he embarked on a creative journey, producing numerous short films on Super 8 and video, laying the groundwork for his future endeavors.
His academic pursuits took him to the Filmacademy Vienna and Filmhochschule Munich, where he served as a guest auditor for a brief period. He then went on to study literature and economics in Cologne and Siegen, eventually graduating from university in 1995 with a doctorate in literature.
Following his academic achievements, he began his career in the film industry, serving as a producer and director with Taunus Film-ProduktionsGmbH from 1995 to 2000. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to found Bolu Filmproduction and Distribution GmbH in 1992, where he held the position of Chief Executive Officer.
Throughout his career, he continued to direct, write, and produce feature films until 2016, establishing himself as a prominent figure in the film industry. His main companies, Event Films in Vancouver and Bolu Film in Germany, served as the foundation for his creative endeavors.
In addition to his film pursuits, he was a longtime resident of Canada, where he owned the restaurant "Bauhaus" in Vancouver from 2015 to 2020. Following his departure from the restaurant, he returned to Germany and resumed his filmmaking activities in 2020.
