Biography

Valentina Telichkina, a renowned Soviet and Russian actress, has garnered numerous accolades throughout her illustrious career, including the prestigious Lenin Komsomol Prize in 1976 and the Vasilyev Brothers State Prize of the RSFSR in 1985, as well as the esteemed title of Honored Artist of the RSFSR in 1976.

Telichkina made her cinematic debut in 1966, just two years after completing her studies, in the small yet significant role of Dasha in the film "The Taiga Troopers" directed by Vladimir Krasnopolsky and Valery Uskov. The following year, she starred in the film "The Journalist" by Sergei Gerasimov, a role that she considers to be the defining moment in her life, as it "opened her way to the world of cinema".

Throughout her extensive filmography, which comprises over sixty movies, Telichkina has appeared in a diverse range of roles, with some of her most notable performances including those in "Five Evenings", "Autumn Weddings", "The Beginning", "First Girl", "Vassa", and "The Seagull".
