Valerie's early life in Glasgow, Scotland, and the Maritimes, where she developed her theatrical skills from a young age, laid the foundation for her future success in the entertainment industry.
Growing up, Valerie was already putting on skits and honing her performance skills, which she continued to refine in school and university. Her first notable role was as Katisha in The Mikado, showcasing her talent to a wider audience.
After completing her Bachelor of Science degree from Acadia University in Wolfville, Nova Scotia, Valerie began her career in the entertainment industry at CHNS radio in Halifax, initially focusing on voice-over work and writing. However, she soon sought a change of scenery and headed west to Vancouver, where she became involved in the burgeoning film industry.
Initially, Valerie worked behind the scenes in production, but soon reignited her passion for acting in front of the camera. Her impressive career has spanned over 60 film and television projects, voice-overs, and commercials.
Valerie's recent credits include starring roles in The Babysitter's Club, The Flash, Garage Sale Mystery, Almost Human, Alcatraz, The Killing (recurring),Psych, and Supernatural, working with acclaimed directors such as Linda Mendoza, Stefan Pleszczynski, Peter DeLuise, Sam Hill, Brad Anderson, Agnieszka Holland, Keith Gordon, Brad Turner, and John Showalter.
