Vernon's remarkable life has been marked by a multitude of extraordinary experiences. Born in Thailand as the son of Christian missionaries, he has had the privilege of traveling to an astonishing 83 countries worldwide.
His impressive military career began as a US Navy SWCC commando, serving in the elite Special Boat Teams alongside platoons from SEAL Teams 1, 3, and 5, and deploying to various war zones.
In addition to his military service, Vernon has worn many hats, including those of a college professor, engineer, EMT, bodyguard, and private investigator. One of his most notable investigative feats was going undercover at a major US airport to dismantle an international smuggling ring.
As an award-winning filmmaker, Vernon has made a name for himself through his work as a writer, producer, and director. He has collaborated with some of Hollywood's biggest stars, including Oscar winners Jennifer Hudson and Marcia Gay Harden, legends like Martin Sheen and Michael Madsen, and supermodel/actress Cara Delevingne.
Behind the camera, Vernon has worked with a range of talented individuals, including Oscar-winning director and TV writer Robert David Port, legendary studio director Catherine Hardwicke, and the incredibly talented Taraji P. Henson.
Vernon's academic credentials are equally impressive, with an MFA in Screenwriting from USC, where he studied under the renowned script guru Syd Field, and an MBA from USIU. His impressive resume also includes an Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences Fellowship.
