Prior to his professional wrestling endeavors, Grimes honed his skills in California's esteemed All Pro Wrestling.
Grimes' foray into the WWF, now WWE, saw him embody the enigmatic character of Key, a cunning drug dealer. Although his tenure was relatively brief, it laid the groundwork for his subsequent debut in ECW, where he joined the formidable stable known as Da Baldies.
