Vince Murdocco's remarkable journey to fame began when he secured the prestigious title of North American Cruiserweight Champion in the kickboxing world, catapulting him to international recognition. As is often the case with world champions, Murdocco soon made the transition from the ring to the silver screen, mirroring the trend of many of his peers in the 1990s. However, his film debut took an unexpected turn when he starred as the titular character in the softcore porn comedy Flesh Gordon Meets the Cosmic Cheerleaders in 1990.
In 1990, Murdocco further solidified his status as a rising star when he appeared alongside Sasha Mitchell in the action-packed Kickboxer 2: The Road Back, where he faced off against the formidable Michel Qissi, better known by his ring name Tong Po. Following this notable performance, Murdocco began working with PM Entertainment, taking on a diverse range of roles that showcased his versatility as an actor.
His repertoire during this period included a range of characters, from a racist kickboxer in the gritty Ring of Fire (1991) to a former prisoner turned hero in the action-packed Private Wars (1997). However, after appearing in Death Game (1996),Murdocco took a hiatus from acting. It wasn't until 2001 that he made a triumphant return to the screen, this time playing a government agent in The Barber (2002).
