Volkmar Welzel's journey began in 1991, as he took his first breaths in the vicinity of Berlin, Germany, a city steeped in rich cultural heritage. As a young boy, he stumbled upon an innate affinity for acting and singing, a discovery that would shape the trajectory of his life. This early fascination with the performing arts prompted him to enroll in acting and singing classes during his formative school years, providing a solid foundation for the craft that would soon become his passion.
As his interest in the arts continued to grow, Welzel's ambition propelled him to pursue a three-year course of study at the esteemed Acting School Berlin-Charlottenburg. This esteemed institution, renowned for its rigorous training programs and talented faculty, offered Welzel the ideal environment in which to hone his skills and cultivate his artistic abilities.
The year 2011 marked a significant milestone in the professional career of Welzel, as he made his debut appearance in Kai Stänickes critically acclaimed short film, "It's consuming me". This notable cinematic endeavour premiered in the vibrant city of San Francisco, generating widespread recognition and accolades from various prestigious short film festivals. As a result, the film went on to win multiple awards, solidifying its reputation as a standout production in the world of filmmaking.
