Vonne Patiag is a multifaceted creative force, boasting an impressive array of accolades and credits in television and film. As a Showrunner, Producer, Writer, Director, and Actor, he has made a significant impact in the Australian entertainment industry.
Patiag's recent projects include writing and producing the anthology feature film "Here Out West" for Co-Curious, Emerald Productions, and ABC, which premiered as the Opening Night Film for the Sydney Film Festival 2021. He has also worked on the 4x1 hour TV series "The Unusual Suspects" for Aquarius Films and SBS, a landmark moment of representation for Filipino communities on screen.
These projects have garnered him numerous award nominations, including an AWGIE for Best Original Feature Screenplay, and AACTA, Logie, and SPA Awards for Best Miniseries. Additionally, he has written for the TV series "Significant Others" for Fremantle Australia and ABC.
Patiag is recognized as one of Australia's youngest Showrunners, having overseen the writing, producing, directing, editing, and social media release strategy for the online series "Halal Gurls" for ABC. His one-man show "the life cycle of blanco" opened to a sold-out season in Sydney in November 2020 and is set to make its main stage debut with the National Theatre of Parramatta in 2023. His full-length play "Obviously!", a queer sitcom/theatre hybrid, opened at the Joan Sutherland Performing Arts Centre in 2018.
