Walter Anaruk is a multifaceted Film and Television actor, residing in the Denver area of Colorado. Born on an American military base in Taipei, Taiwan, his early life was marked by a unique blend of American and South Korean influences. His father's service in the United States Air Force led to Walter's childhood being spent in various locations, including Korea, Texas, Virginia, and Florida.
As a young boy, Walter's family moved to Korea, where he spent part of his teenage years. Later, they relocated to Florida, where he attended the University of West Florida. It was during his college days that Walter discovered his passion for performing, which would become a defining aspect of his life.
At the University of West Florida, Walter excelled in various aspects of performing, including Dramatic Interpretation, Poetry, Prose, and Duo Interpretation. He repeatedly won state and regional awards for his performances, including a fourth-place finish at the Pi Kappa Delta National Championships. Additionally, Walter was an accomplished musician, serving as a guitarist and vocalist in multiple bands.
After leaving Florida in 2008, Walter settled in Colorado, where he continued to pursue his passion for acting. While he has appeared in various theater productions over the years, his primary focus has shifted to on-camera work.
Walter's breakthrough in mainstream film came with his supporting role as Coach Doug Nguyen in the Netflix original movie Amateur. He has since appeared in several television features on Lifetime and UpTV, as well as building a resume in episodic television.
Some of Walter's notable television credits include co-starring roles in AMC's Better Call Saul, FOX's The Cleaning Lady, Showtime's The Curse, and the season finale of the Netflix series Messiah.
When he's not on set, Walter is a USA Volleyball juniors coach. He is also an avid karaoke enthusiast, wine connoisseur, and martial arts practitioner. Walter still writes music and, along with a few friends, plans to release an EP of original music.
