Wang Sa, originally known as Heng Kim Ching, was a celebrated Singaporean comedian who, in collaboration with his long-time partner Ye Fong, formed a legendary comedy duo that was frequently compared to the iconic Laurel and Hardy of the East.
Throughout many years, Wang Sa and Ye Fong captivated audiences as a duet at the renowned New World Amusement Park, as well as on television during the 1960s and 1970s, thereby establishing a widespread reputation that transcended geographical boundaries, with a devoted fan base extending to Malaysia, Taiwan, and Hong Kong.
Wang Sa's life was tragically abbreviated, as he succumbed to the unforgiving grasp of chronic lung disease on January 18, 1998, his mortal coil extinguished prematurely, leaving behind a legacy of memories and a sense of loss that would linger for those who knew him.
