Wayne J. Miller embarked on his professional stage journey with a captivating performance as Will Parker in the iconic production of Oklahoma!. This marked the beginning of over two decades of leading roles in live dramatic theater and musical comedy, with a plethora of memorable characters that left a lasting impression. Among his most cherished roles were the charismatic Georges in La Cage Aux Folles, the eccentric Mack Sennett in Mack and Mabel, the illustrious Julian Marsh in 42nd Street, the benevolent Warbucks in Annie, the charming Nicely-Nicely Johnson in Guys and Dolls, and the cunning Pseudolus in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum.
In his most recent endeavor, Miller brought to life the character of ex-US President William Jefferson in the Castillo Theatre production of VOTES, a poignant and thought-provoking performance that resonated with audiences on New York's iconic 42nd Street. His extensive television credits include principal roles on the CBS-TV classic daytime drama, The Guiding Light, as well as appearances on The Good Wife, The Outs, Madame Secretary, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Mozart in the Jungle, A Crime to remember, and other notable shows.
As a director, Miller has helmed numerous productions, including the New York premiere of Steven Deitz's Yankee Tavern, an acclaimed production of To Kill a Mockingbird, and an award-winning revival of The Andersonville Trial. He continues to be an integral part of the New York City theater scene, actively performing, directing, and designing for various productions.
