Wendy Morgan's parents made the bold decision to emigrate to Canada from Chile the exact moment she took her first breath, marking the beginning of her extraordinary journey. As the eldest of six siblings, Wendy's early life was filled with creativity and imagination, laying the groundwork for her future accomplishments.
Following her graduation from McGill University in Montreal with a degree in Art History, Wendy embarked on a career that would take her to new heights. She started by directing music videos, a medium that would become her calling card and allow her to showcase her unique blend of naturalism, bold style, and often, choreography.
Throughout her illustrious career, Wendy has worked with an impressive array of artists and brands, including Alicia Keys, Janelle Monáe, Lous and The Yakuza, Lanvin, Rag & Bone, VW, and The Paris Opera Ballet. Her work has been recognized with numerous awards and nominations, including Time magazine's Top 30 Music Videos of all time for her iconic video for Gnarls Barkley's "Going On".
Wendy's video for French producers C2C, "Happy", which boasts over 20 million views, was honored at the London International Awards, the UKMVAs, the MVPAs, and TED, while her video for Keys' "Underdog" earned a 2020 MTV MVA nomination.
In addition to her work in music videos, Wendy has also made a name for herself in the world of television, directing episodes of Apple TV+'s Circuit Breakers, The Family Channel's show Backstage, and Little Dog on CBC.
In December 2020, Wendy released her debut feature film, Sugar Daddy, which earned her the Outstanding Directorial Achievement award at the 2021 DGC Awards. This remarkable achievement marks a significant milestone in Wendy's already impressive career, solidifying her position as a talented and innovative director.
