Whitney Sloan's illustrious career in theatre began at the tender age of five, when she started performing in every play she could get her hands on, constantly moving schools, countries, and states. Over the next nine years, she honed her craft, taking on various roles in London and San Francisco, including Maria in "Westside Story", Hodel in "Fiddler on the Roof", and Juliet in "Romeo and Juliet".
Her impressive theatre credits led her to Los Angeles, where she initially planned to spend only a summer pursuing a career in film and television. However, her talent and dedication quickly earned her roles on the hit shows "Judging Amy", "General Hospital", and the independent film "State's Evidence". Her acting career continued to flourish, with Whitney managing to shoot two films, "Blue Demon" and "Glass Trap", star in a school production of Lilian Hellman's "The Children's Hour", and maintain excellent grades throughout her sophomore year.
During her junior year, Whitney landed a starring role in the Disney Channel original movie "Go Figure", where she spent several weeks on location learning how to play ice hockey. She also appeared in the ABC sitcom pilot "Joint Custody", playing Marilu Henner's rebellious punk daughter.
After a busy period of back-to-back projects, Whitney took a break from acting to focus on taking the S.A.T and completing her senior year of high school. She was accepted into the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) film and theater program, where she focused exclusively on her coursework and never returned to the entertainment industry.
Whitney's final acting job was the coming-of-age drama "Moondance Alexander", which was filmed in Canada prior to her starting college. After graduating from UCLA with a degree in political science, she pursued graduate education and a career outside of California.
