William Kronick was born in Amsterdam, New York, and later attended Columbia College.
After completing his education, Kronick embarked on a prestigious career in the U.S. Navy, serving as a Photographer's Mate.
Following his naval service, Kronick pursued his passion for filmmaking by undertaking an apprenticeship with the renowned Swedish director Ingmar Bergman at Svenskfilmindustri Studios in Stockholm.
Subsequently, Kronick joined the Louis de Rochemont Company in New York as a production assistant, where he honed his skills and laid the groundwork for his future success.
Kronick's first feature-length film, A Bowl of Cherries, a comedy set in the vibrant New York art scene, premiered in nearly a thousand theaters across the United States and abroad.
Throughout his lengthy and distinguished career as a director, producer, and writer, Kronick received numerous accolades, including an Academy Award Special Certificate of Merit for The Ends Of The Earth, his feature-length chronicle of the British Transglobe Expedition.
Today, Kronick resides in Los Angeles, where he has recently completed his fifth novel, showcasing his versatility and creative range.
