Biography

William Washington has had a long and illustrious career in the motion picture industry, spanning over three decades. Throughout his extensive credits, he has worked on more than 400 film projects, including television shows, commercials, and music videos.

Washington's journey in the industry began in 1989 when he was hired as a stuntman on the feature film "Marked for Death", starring Steven Segal. He continued to work as a stuntman for four years, during which time he became one of Hollywood's go-to African American stuntmen, frequently collaborating with renowned stunt coordinator Terry Leonard.

Washington's curiosity and eagerness to learn led him to interact with various departments on set, exposing him to the different aspects of filmmaking. This exposure ultimately granted him his first opportunity as a stunt coordinator on the multi-award-winning feature film "What's Love Got to Do with It", directed by Brian Gibson and starring Angela Bassett and Laurence Fishburne.

In 2008, Washington ventured into producing and directing with his first feature film, "House Arrest", starring Stacey Dash and The Game. Despite facing numerous challenges due to the limited budget, Washington's critical problem-solving skills enabled him to overcome these obstacles.

On January 1, 2013, Washington's perseverance and passion for filmmaking culminated in a distribution deal with Grindstone Entertainment Group for the theatrical release of his film, which he also directed and produced.

In addition to his work on set, Washington has developed an interest in the development stage of projects, particularly in screenwriting. He has written several screenplays, including "Bad Adaptation", "Fight of Glory", "Jolted", "The Showdown", "Ice", "Showtime Borders", and the television series "Retribution", which are currently under consideration by investment groups for financing.

Throughout his career, Washington has continued to hone his craft, driven by his mantra "Perfect practice makes perfect".
