Biography

Wren Barnes was born in San Jose, California, but her childhood was spent in Farragut, Tennessee, where she grew up with a passion for the performing arts. At the tender age of seven, she confided in her parents that she wanted to become an actress, and after a few months of persistence, she secured a meeting with her parents to reiterate her ambition.

As a child, Wren was an avid swimmer and practiced ballet, skills that would later serve her well in her acting career. She signed with Talent Trek and landed notable childhood roles, including a commercial with Dolly Parton, acting in October Sky, and dancing in the City Ballet's Nutcracker production. She also sang in her school's choir and participated in mission tours, performing in major cities across the United States.

At 15, Wren was cast in the Professional Shakespeare Summer show series with the Tennessee Stage Company, becoming the youngest person to ever join the company. She worked tirelessly for eight weeks, performing in three Shakespeare plays, touring a production to elementary schools, and assisting with stage construction, hair, costuming, and makeup.

In high school, Wren was an active member of the local modeling and acting community, taking advanced acting classes and earning several scholarships at the Southeastern Theater Conference. She was also Class President, played sports, performed in theater productions, and volunteered in her church and community.

After high school, Wren was offered a modeling contract but turned it down to pursue a business degree. She went on to graduate from The New York Conservatory with a degree in Acting for Film and Television and later earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from the University of Central Florida.

Wren's professional career began in healthcare management, working primarily with prescription medical devices for respiratory illnesses and rehabilitation for serious life-threatening injuries. However, after a life-altering accident, she felt grateful to be alive and decided to return to her passion for acting and film.

She continued to work on projects in Knoxville before moving to Utah in the fall of 2014, where she has since continued to pursue her dreams in the film industry.
