Xavier "X" Barquet, a highly accomplished individual, received the prestigious NYU's Scholarship Award, one of only 25 nationally given, allowing him to transfer to New York University from the University of Miami.
At NYU, Barquet completed a Double Major in PreMed and Film & Acting, achieving timely graduation.
Following his academic success, he co-starred in "Off Broadway" productions at the American Theatre Of Actors in New York City.
He then went on to work intermittently for five years as a guest star in the hit television series "Miami Vice".
In 1989, Barquet earned his first producing position on a feature film.
Subsequently, he produced seven more feature films before launching Event United in 2000, an initiative aimed at "uniting" all independent filmmakers.
As of 2005, Event United has successfully produced six productions and brought together over 267 producers, directors, writers, cinematographers, editors, and financiers.
