Motoaki Tanigo, affectionately known as YAGOO, is a visionary entrepreneur and the Co-founder as well as the current Chief Executive Officer of COVER Corporation, the parent company of Hololive Production. Born on December 10, 1973, Tanigo's professional journey began after graduating from the esteemed Keio University's Faculty of Science and Technology.
Prior to founding COVER Corporation, Tanigo worked at Imagineer Corporation, where he was responsible for producing a game in partnership with the renowned Sanrio Co., Ltd. His experience and expertise in the gaming industry laid the foundation for his future endeavors.
On June 13, 2016, Tanigo took the bold step of founding COVER Corporation, which initially focused on developing innovative AR and VR software. Under his leadership, the company has since grown and evolved to become a prominent player in the entertainment industry.
Today, as the CEO of COVER Corp., Tanigo is responsible for overseeing the management of Hololive and Holostars, two of the company's most popular and successful brands. However, what sets Tanigo apart from other CEOs is his willingness to get involved in the creative process. He is also known to work as "best girl", donning the persona of RGB-self-defense-shield, and has even modeled as a hoodie and stuffed animal, showcasing his versatility and commitment to his work.
