Yeni Alvarez is a Cuban American actress, voiceover artist, and writer, renowned for her captivating performance as Anita in the popular Spanish sitcom "Los Beltran". Additionally, she is one of the talented "divas" behind the influential blog TravelingDiva.com, and proudly describes herself as a "bon vivant".
Throughout her illustrious career, Alvarez has been involved in a wide range of projects. She was initially cast in "Los Beltran" in 1999 and starred as Anita until the show's conclusion in 2001. Following her stint on the sitcom, she transitioned primarily to voiceover work, lending her voice to various characters in animated series, video games, and television shows. Notable roles include Carmela in Disney's Handy Manny, Aquamaria in the Static Shock episode "Wet and Wild", and featured voice appearances in Glenn Martin DDS, Guardians of Luna, Freedom: First Resistance, and Total Overdose: A Gunslinger's Tale in Mexico.

Born in Cuba, Alvarez was ten years old when she left with her family to Miami, Florida, via Panama. She went on to study at the Young Actors Workshop and Marymount Manhattan College before receiving her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fine Arts from Florida International University in 1995.
Alvarez is a self-proclaimed fan of the legendary salsa singer Celia Cruz and had the opportunity to meet her when Cruz was headlining a Cuban Festival in LA, which Alvarez emceed. When they met, Cruz affectionately referred to Alvarez as "La chiquita de 'Los Beltran'", and Alvarez's manager later revealed that Cruz never missed an episode of the show and would have him record it during her tours.
Fluent in both English and Spanish, Alvarez is also trained in karate and enjoys traveling, citing memorable experiences in Paris, Prague, and New Orleans.
Throughout her career, Alvarez has received numerous awards and recognition, including the 2001 Imagen Foundation Award for Best Comedy Series and the 2001 ALMA Award from the National Council of La Raza for Best Spanish Language Comedy Series. "Los Beltran" was also nominated for two GLAAD Media Awards, making it the first Spanish-language program to receive such honors from the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation.
