In 1976, Zafer made the transition to cinema, directing an impressive 40 films throughout his illustrious career. One of his most notable roles was in the movie İskilip'li Atıf Hoca, where he portrayed Ferit, the lawyer of İskilip'li Atıf Hoca, who was wrongly accused of siding with the occupation forces during the War of Independence and the National Struggle.
