Born in the City of Light, Yoni Darmon is a talented screenwriter and director hailing from the esteemed Camera Obscura School of Cinematic Arts in Tel Aviv. With a creative background steeped in the art of storytelling, he has penned and helmed numerous critically acclaimed short films in Israel, including the 12-minute masterpiece "Gardener Game" and the 25-minute thought-provoking drama "Hachaverim Shel Ilan".
Yoni Darmon, a filmmaker with a solid background in short films, went on to write and direct his first feature-length film, "Game Over", in 1996. This 84-minute cinematic masterpiece was showcased at numerous international film festivals, including prominent events such as the Montreal Film Festival, the Ankara International Film Festival, the Los Angeles Film Festival, the Prague International Film Festival, and the Haifa International Film Festival, among others.
In addition to his impressive literary endeavors, Yoni Darmon has also ventured into the realm of television writing, specifically crafting episodes for the Israeli television series "The Big Grossman" which aired on Channel 3.
In the world of cinema, he has co-authored the screenplay for "Victor Young Perez", a collaborative effort between Noé productions and Mazel film, under the direction of the acclaimed filmmaker Jacques Ouaniche.
Born into the new generation of Israeli cinema, Yoni Darmon has had the privilege of collaborating with esteemed individuals from the film industry, including renowned directors, actors, and producers. Notably, he has worked alongside David Mandil, the acclaimed producer of Beaufort, a critically acclaimed war drama. Additionally, Darmon has also had the opportunity to collaborate with Eyal Shirai, the producer of the thought-provoking film My Lord My Father. Furthermore, he has also had the privilege of working with Giorah Bejach, a seasoned operations expert with extensive experience in Lebanon. Moreover, Darmon has also had the pleasure of sharing the screen with Moshé Ivgy, one of Israel's most celebrated actors, and Yael Abecassis, a talented actress in her own right.
